“The Wish List”

“The Wish List” is a collaborative project between some of the best-known design names and up-and-coming designers. Ten design and architecture legends and ten young, talented designers faced a challenge of creating a longed-for object for those who normally fulfill creative dreams of others: Norman Forester, Zaha Hadid, Alex de Rijke, Paul Smith, Amanda Levete, John Pawson, Alison Brooks, Richard and Ab Rogers and Allen Jones. Interestingly the challenge was to create all objects, using one single material: American hardwood.

To get know what was on the whist list of design and architecture legends, you need to visit fabulous installation at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London or check its short summary in The ArchitecturalReview.

But the project I looooove the most is “Paul’s Shed”by Nathalie de Leval for Sir Paul Smith. It’s a wooden hut designed as a place for relaxation. The structure is made from dark-coloured, thermo-treated American ash. It has a glazed wall and a rotating mechanism, so that one can take advantage of sun or shade at different times of day. As a result, the shade is in harmony with the rhythm of nature and can serve as a perfect place, where you can just switch off and relax. Simply amazing!

Amazing minimalistic Scandinavian apartment

I looove this Scandinavian apartment! Its incredible range of shades of gray. Its austerity and coziness at the same time. Mix of textures and fabrics. And wooden wall in the kitchen is something I’ll definitely consider when planning my renovation.

Eclectic Scandinavian Mix

There are so many things I looove about this fabulous apartment! It’s an amazing mix of old and new, rawness and coziness, muted and bold. On the one hand full of contradiction, yet harmonious somehow.  I like the white, shabby chic dining room with one mismatching, pink chair, that just pops out. And the living room… just mind blowing - wooden beams on the ceiling and on one of the walls,  set together with concrete fireplace.  Amazing dresser with antlers hanging above. Not to mention magnificent gray piano. Simply looooove it!!!
