I so much loooove spring. It’s getting warmer and the days are longer. Everything starts to bloom, slowly waking up from winter sleep. People begin to dream, hoping for the best. Everyone is loaded with positive energy, willing to do something he has wanted to for a long time. Ohh..I just adore this time of year – new dreams, new hopes, new life..

May's Moodboard

This month's moodboard is all about greenery. While it has been raining quite a lot, everything is so fresh and juicy, in the most beautiful shades of green. I looove May - everything is in the full bloom, the days are getting warmer and warmer, giving hope for the best… ohhh, and I would have forgotten, it is also the month on which are my mother's birthday, and actually they are today. So Happy Birthday Mom!!!

Bedroom personality

They say that you should never judge book by its cover. But what about the bedroom? Does the look of the bedroom reflects the personality of its owner? Here are some bedrooms - each in a different style, revealing different personality: Elegant Classic, Boho Oriental, Sensual Romantic, Famme Fatale, Sparkling Glamour, Hip & Funky, Royal Opulence and Simply Natural. So, what type of bedroom personality are you?

A woman with impeccable taste, pretty prim and proper. Always good looking, impossibly perfect. Elegant lady with sterling manners. Very sophisticated, sometimes might seems a little bit high and mighty. She's uber classy and prefers clean, straight lines and rather neutral colors.

Spring inspiration moodboard

As I'm recently in looove with combination of gray & yellow and also lemon chiffon & aqua, my choice of colors for spring was obvious. I'm also fed up with black accents, which I gather during a winter a lot, and so now I've decided to replace them with the silver and glass ones. It means that I have to but maaaaaany new frames for my pictures… I also would love to have a white brick wall - lately I'm obsessed with it. And I would really like to buy a white, swivel chair. However I'm still not sure where I'll put it, while I kind of don't have free space for it...

Favorite Combos - Lemon Chiffon & Aqua

Finally, spring has come. The sky is lightly blue and the sun is shinning gently. Each day is longer than the previous and it's getting warmer outside. So glad that the cold season is already over.

Favorite Combos - Yellow & Gray

I wish it was spring already. But luckily a few last days were quite sunny and so a flame of hope appeared, that soon winter will be gone. The snow will slowly melt and a green leaves will start to appear. Yep, it would be so lovely… But now, all I can hopefully see, are gray sidewalks with just splashes of sunshine reflections. However I must admit that this color combination, when it comes to a different objects, looks quite good.

Favorite Combos - Black & Gold

I know that for some this combo might seem cliché, but for me it's a instant chic. Even though I'm not a big fan of gold color, I love this specific combination - the darkness of the black, enlightened by the shining gold.

Nine's women

Yesterday I went to see screening of Rob Marshall's latest movie "Nine", and so I'd like to share my thoughts about it. And I must admit that I'm disappointment a little bit, mainly because of poor musical numbers that never fully integrate into the dramatic story. Moreover the characters, are written so flat and unengaging that there's a limit to what some of the actresses really can do.

Daniel Day-Lewis playing Guido Contini is great. He embodies Contini from head-to-toe, always with a cigarette in his hand, looking like he just crawled out of bed, surrounded by people that are trying to put him together- combed his hair, made his tie, shaved him. Unfortunately he doesn't have a whole lot to sing in the film, while he only sings twice.

Marion Cotilard as Guido's wife - Luisa, deserves another Oscar Nomination for this role. Marion's performance is brilliant - you can see all of the pain she's ever felt. She looks and sings simply fabulous. Her two songs are so contrasting. The first, slow and sentimental, perfectly expresses what is it like to be famous director's wife, while the second, looking like somewhat of a striptease, shows her in a totally different light, as a strong woman.

Judi Dench's scenes were just a pleasure to watch. Her performance as a Lili the Costume Designer, for me was simply the best. However I didn't much enjoy her number, and would prefer to see her in something different.

Penelope Cruz, who played Guido's mistress Carla, delivered great number, full of sexuality - twisting her body and playing with ropes.

But the best musical number of the film for me, was Fergie performing 'Be Italian.' Saraghina, the whore that taught Guido the art of love-making, looked exactly like she should- smeared eyes, scraggly hair, boobs pushed up. Fergie does a great job, even though she doesn't speak a lot.

Kate Hudson, as Stephanie - a Vogue reporter who tries to seduce Contini, seemed completely unnecessary. If you would have cut the entire character from the film, it would not have affected anything. I had the same problem with Sophia Loren, Guido's mother.

Nicole Kidman looks incredible, however her performance didn't amaze me. Her part is very short and not too ambitious, I wish I have seen her more.

Overall I just can't decide whether film's problem was too many women or too many musical numbers breaking out for no reason.

However inspired by some of the characters, I decided to try to recreate the look of interiors, in which they could live.

Favorite Combos - Black & Silver & Red

Lately this is my favorite color combo - sophisticated black with sparkling silver and a dash of hot red - looove it!!! However this lust for red is not typical for me, while I'm (or should say was) definitely "blue" person. As far as I can remember I've always loved everything what was blue or in any other shade of blue. Moreover I didn't like red - I even have hidden or covered all books with red covers. Well, I blame winter for this. While blue is cold color, red has some hotness within - feeling of warm and coziness. But to temper it a little bit, silver accessories are desired, to lighten up and give a glamorous sparkle.

Coffee Time

I looove coffee!!! Whether it's black strong espresso, or sweet Mocca with a solid portion of chocolate, or creamy cappuccino sprinkled with cocoa or cinnamon on top, or Cafe Latte with lots of steamed-milk foam. Coffee is good for everything and the day without it, is a day without a pleasure, so have a cup...

Favorite Combos - Pink & Gray

Another favorite color combo - the perfect balance of sophistication and femininity. Calming influence of gray alive with touches of soft, pale pink. I simply looove this combination and I definitely want to have it in my bedroom in my future apartment.

Get the look: Whitney's office

Lately I've been watching Six Degrees and I must admit that I really looove this TV serial. It follows the lives of six people as they go about their daily lives without realizing the impact they are having on one another and how all six of their lives are intertwined. But one of the things that I mostly like bout it, is one of main characters' (Whitney) office. I simply loove the whiteness of the space with splashes of red and green here and there. It's so crisp and clean. And here are some things that'll help you get an office like this.

Getting older

I know this pink collage is quite a bit candy, but whatever, today are my birthday. I'm quite excited, while I'm going to celebrate them with some of my friends and that should be a fun. I wish the weather was better, but what can you do…

P.S. to my friends - Things to wish me:

  1. Finding a job - I really do need one, being unemployed is killing me
  2. Getting my MA - I hope that my thesis promoter will eventually recall me and give me the date
  3. Doing my driving license - it's definitely the highest time to do it
  4. Moving out - I really, really want to live on my own
  5. Visiting NYC - I've never been there and I'm dying to go (definitely to much "Sex and The City" & "Six Degrees") ;)
