What will you get, when you combine modern minimalism with feminine boudoir? An interesting, refined interior. It's fantastic how the look of gray, concrete walls, and white shinny surfaces changed, under the influence of a few pink, chic elements. I adore the fuchsia sofa in hallway and the crystal chandelier in the living room. And the combination of pink and gray - flawless as usual.
Frida Giannini, creative director of Gucci, is delighted to be back in Rome, where now is an amazing headquarter for the creative team. At the age of 37, she is in charge of both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, as well as accessories, perfumes and even advertising campaigns. She knows how to incorporate the iconic codes of the brand yet keep it modern. “Of course, I make style evolve,” says Giannini. “In fashion, you must always be starting new trends. I don’t want to repeat myself, and I never make specific references. Rather, I am more attached to the construction and the length of the clothes. I am obsessed with legs; I like emphasizing them.”
While I've never really been a Gucci fun, I must admit that I really like spring/summer 2010 Resort Collection. These are classic, go-anywhere clothes for a woman who likes to travel in style. Pieces in black, blue and white, blazers, trenches, dresses and cute shorts, with a few right accessories like a great scarf or gorgeous sunglasses - create the look that is elegant, yet comfortable.
And this year Gucci spring 2010 campaign, shot by Mert & Marcus in sunny Palm Beach, with Natasha Poly and Ryan Kennedy celebrate the start to summer with fascination of capturing poolside relaxation.
I love Vanity Fair group shots, photographed by Annie Leibovitz! The set design, the dresses, the poses - each photo looks simply stunning. It all started in 1995, when Vanity Fair for the first time featured celebrity group pictures shot by Annie Leibovitz. The good tradition went on… and so this year Vanity Fair’s hottest up and coming actresses in its annual “Hollywood Issue” are: Carey Mulligan, Kristen Stewart, Abbie Cornish, Mia Wasikowska, Amanda Seyfried, Rebecca Hall, Emma Stone, Evan Rachel Wood and Anna Kendrick. I love the shot of the actresses below wearing nude or neutral colors of Dior, J.Mendel, Blumarine, Chado Ralph Rucci and Luisa Beccaria. However I must admit that color scheme is quite similar to 2008 Hollywood Issue, which by the way I liked more.
As I mentioned earlier I'm addicted to handbags. That's why I'm happy to announce that Kate Moss has designed a line of handbags for the French leather and luxury goods brand - Longchamp.
The design of the collection derived from Kate’s passion for fashion and personal experiences from catwalks, red carpet and traveling around the world. When asked about her ideal bag, Kate answers "For me, a great bag should be comfortable, and it should be light", adding "I get so much stuff, and I pack my bags to the brim". What more can we expect, Kate says “I love a splash of color.” Besides color you’ll also find a lot of zebra prints, which is one of her favorite.
I adore this commercial of CH fragrance by Carolina Herrera. Lovely Lisa Cant, photographed by Tim Walker is simply amazing. And all those stylish red items that match the packaging… And the song - currently it's one of my favorite.
I adore office of Michelle Smith, owner and designer of the clothing line called Milly. It's such a light and airy space, with huge windows. But what catch my attention, are gorgeous furniture and accessories. The playful globe bulbs of a Sputnik chandelier, a clear glass desk, lucite chairs with tufted chartreuse cushions, the French love seat and matching chairs reupholstered in Milly's signature chain-link jacquard in pink. And of course fabulous, colorful display of unfinished dresses and swaths of printed fabric. Ohhhh, I looove this space...
