Paying a visit to: Carolyn Quartermaine

British artist and stylist Carolyn Quartermaine's home and studio in France, is a dreamy and romantic place. She has a natural ability to combine fluorescents, whites, and antiques in such a fascinating way. I love her use of colors, that brings a freshness and modern edge. Here are some photos of her enchanted home and a fabulous collection of her textiles.

Coffee Time

I looove coffee!!! Whether it's black strong espresso, or sweet Mocca with a solid portion of chocolate, or creamy cappuccino sprinkled with cocoa or cinnamon on top, or Cafe Latte with lots of steamed-milk foam. Coffee is good for everything and the day without it, is a day without a pleasure, so have a cup...

Let the outside in

Designing an apartment with an amazing view differ from designing an interior, where the inside is more important than outside. And this is a fabulous example, while this apartment itself is very modest. A few, simple pieces of furniture, not so many accessories and mostly white surfaces allow outside view to play first fiddle.

Living in neutrals

I love this apartment - it's smoothness and calmness. Even though it's all in neutrals and doesn't have any color accents, its variety of textures makes all work so well. I would like so much to lay down on a cozy sofa, next to the warm fireplace and simply relax.
